My 9 mo old boxer has had a "hot spot" on her belly for a couple of weeks. Tonight the area is bigger (about 8" x 3"), hot pink in color and raised in some areas. She is licking and sratching the area. Can I give her Benadryl or apply a topical Hydrocortisone ointment to get her through the night until I can get her to the vet in the AM?
