Canine Constipation

I have a five year old female Weimaraner who was recently diagnosed with acute constipation, received an enema by the vet and was then fine. I have been giving her pumpkin every day as recommended, but she is showing exactly the same signs as she did when she was constipated before. What can I do to treat her at home. I have seen "mild laxatives" recommended online, but what would be a good one? Maybe milk of magnesia?
