We have a male miniature chihuahua that is 8 - 9 weeks old that keeps straining trying to have a bowel movement, but only a tiny bit comes out that we have to wipe off with a towel. We took him to the vet yesterday and he said that he was not constipated. He gave us worm medicine to give to the puppy for 10 days. He is eating and playing, but constantly trying to have a bowel movement. His little butt is poking out when he tries. I did give him two doses of 1/2 cc mineral oil yesterday, but that is not helping either. Can we give him an enemia? If so, how do you do this? Or any other suggestions would be appreciated.
