My female dachshund had 2 puppies one week ago. This started out OK, but looks like one of the puppies is not eating. Mother is taking care of it,but it seems to look like it is getting weaker. What am I to do?

Reply to Tammy Falkner's Post: There are no fleas. The puppy doesn't appear to be nursing at all. I tried last night to drip some water in it's mouth and it took a swallow or two. Was crying occasionally throughout the night. The mother was in and out of the bed, but neither puppy seemed to be nursing at night. I put a space heater on the puppies at night which seems to quiet them. I, also, am sleeping in the room near them. Have made a call to the vet and will try formula. Any other suggestions? She is a VERY young dachshund mother.
