Hi,

Well eating a bar of soap could not have been a very tasty treat, but luckily it isn't very toxic. It may cause some diarrhea and she might not feel so good for a little while. But I would not make her throw it up. As long as she didn't swallow it whole she should be ok. If she did swallow it whole, then she could have some problems. It could get lodged somewhere and cause some issues. If she starts vomiting or looking very depressed, then I would take her in for an exam.

Good luck,

Dr. Candy

Thank you! No the soap was in pieces. The fun thing is I have 2 dachshunds about the same age so they both ate some of 2 bars of soap. I'm not looking forward to two little dogs running all over the house throwing up. I could put them outside in their fenced yard, but if you want to see depressed, you should see their little faces when I do that. At the first sound of a blurp, out they are going! Thank you very much.
