Your dog should have a bowel movement daily but in some cases they go every other day but that should be the longest that they go without a bowel movement. If not they may be constipated for that it is best to feed some pumpkin or bran daily mixed in with the food. If he has gone more than two days without a bowel movement he may need some Pepto -bismol at 0.5 to 1mg per pound of body weight split up between two to three doses daily or you can call your veterinarian and see if they ok a dose of Immodium or want you to bring him in to be seen.
