My dog has a slight greenish discharge coming from her eye. is there a home remedy to try before taking her to the vet

Your dog has conjunctivitis and will need antibiotic drops from the vet. However, in the meantime you can wash the eye with saline solution. You can also make green tea and let it cool then mix it half and half with water and put a washcloth compress of the tea mixture on her eye for a few minutes. Ten minutes after doing this you can rinse again with saline solution.
