I have a Austrailian Shepard, he has been , kind of hard to explain, but for lack of a better explination, gagging or choking. Doesn't matter if he has been outside or just come in or just waking up or just going to bed....he will act like he has something stuck in the back of his throat and with mouth open ,tongue curled, will gag. Almost as if to vomit, but with no reaction from the body itself like wrentching. Then he is fine. He produces nothing while doing this. The Vet has Rx some antibiotics (completed a month ago, still gagging) Now my dog is taking Temaril-P in hopes of counteracting some Allergies/ inflammation. My Vet also said something about checking the throat under sedation? Could my pet have a tumor IN the throat? The Vet , talking out loud answered his own question about how old my dog is ( he is 11 ) Does that make a difference of what could be happening?   Thanks in advance for your insight.
