I think my dog may be eating wood chips (at the outdoor play space at doggie daycare). She's thrown up woodchips once and passed small pieces of them in her feces as well. How harmful is this to her? She does attempt to eat sticks and such when she's with us and we always discourage it but she doesn't stop. Is it possible she will eventually understand that is what is making her sick and stop? I've heard of dogs eating rocks and needing surgery. Is it possible this situation is as dangerous?
