my 1yr 6mo old pit bull female is having problems with ...

my 1yr 6mo old pit bull female is having problems with bladder control. she is fixed and she will sit or lay daown and wet were she is and then act "embarased" that she has done this. this has started just lately. what could be causing this and is there an "over the counter" way to treat this?
