i have a colby/gator pitbull and i saw a worm in his stool ...

i have a colby/gator pitbull and i saw a worm in his stool the other day and i went and got him some safe-gaurd from the co-op and gave him 2 doses and had a fla collar on him and this evening he has been vomiting and had diarrhea (a couple times it has been like water) but NO blood. he is still eating and drinking and playing

What did the worm look like? Thin and long (like spaghetti), or short tiny worm?
