My tea cup poodle is just over a year old & has never been constipated. She had her first annual heart worm check & vaccines a few days ago & her rear end has had problems since. She's pooped a lot more & they seem sollid. But she has four times now seemed to be unable to push & there's been poop on her butt area. As I take the warm cloth to wipe her off, it seems like more comes for quite a while. Like I can't clean her up. She seems otherwise normal. Wet nose, plays.. but she's distrssed when the poop thing happens. How can I help her?

It's already been 3-4 days. She needs a bit more immediate relief I think. How long does pumpkin take to work?

Usually just hours and then you see improvement.

I will accept if you can tell me since I mention in my first mail that it had been a few days. It's no fun to keep wiping her leaking butt. The pumpkin may be a longer term idea to try sooner next time, but at this point does it work quick enough or is there something I can do tomorrow...that will give her relief. I just want to know that waiting won't harm her. At this I will gladly accept. It seemed like a long term question to what I saw as a more immediate problem.
