10-week old poodle puppy

Sent to Dog Experts September 03 11:44 AM

I have a new brown miniature poodle puppy -- 10 weeks old. He is on schedule with vaccinations... He (Nino) went for his first Vet check and the Vet gave him a first dose (two doses) of Kennel Cough Vaccination. The Vet did a fecal test and found Giardia and put him on a .6 ml metranidazol twice a day. That started two days ago. Today he woke up and has been wimpering in pain and appears to have tummy pain. He is lethargic and his very dark brown nose is bright pink. We contacted the breeder and she thinks they might be giving him too much metranidazol. The breeder says there is no way that he has Giardia -- his mother and none of the other dogs in her home have Giardia.
