My 8 year old poodle is taking lasix 12.5 mg 3x a day and ...

My 8 year old poodle is taking lasix 12.5 mg 3x a day and also englapril 2.5 mg 2x a day and he is still coughing. He has an elarged heart. Is there anything else i can do at home to help his coughing? Someone said give him a teaspoon of honey to help his throat. But i am afraid to give him anything else...Can you help? His weight is 8 pounds... Thank you Candy
