I have a four month old pug puppy. Her breath and her urine smell "metallic". I noticed that she was leaving yellow stains (she had not urintated ) on her bedding. I checked her out and noticed that her vagina was caked with what I think is urine. It's kind of pasty. What could be the cause of the metallic smell and the vaginal problem? Could they be related?

It sounds like she could have a urinary tract infection or possibly vaginitis causing the caking on the vulva. Its also possible she has bladder stones or crystals.
The change in the breath odor may be teething. Dogs get a funny smell to their mouth usually related to the blood from teeth falling out. They start losing baby teeth around 4 months of age.
Hope this helps you!
