hello I have a dog. she is a chow mix. I had her for about 5 years. She has lived with other animals. Today she killed one of the other pets. The animal was in its cage and she destroyed the whole cage to kill him. I don't understand what happened. She saw these pets everyday and never bothered them. why did she do this?

is it normal for a dog to kill a pet in the cage or if the pet was running around? shouldn't a pet be safe in a cage
