My juvenile cat has been sluggish for a day and a half. He ate a little last night and a little this afternoon. He did not wake me up for breakfast this morning like he does every day. He has no visible injuries. He is not due for vaccinations until December. He does go outside regularly, but always sleeps and eats at home. He normally has a lot of energy becuase he's only a little over a year old. What could be wrong?

Hi Kim-

Is he using the litter box normally? If you are not sure, you need put him with a box and not let him go outside until he goes. I'm concerned about a urinary tract blockage which will produce many of the symptoms of what you are seeing. Please let me know if he seems to be straining to go, makes several trips without producing anything or is licking his genitals excessively.
