Papalloma in female dog?

"Beth" is a 6 year old Pekenese and just has been diagnosed. What treatment do you recommend? Right now she's scheduled for surgery on 4/27/05 to "remove" an external tumor on the outside opening of the vagina. What other treatment is usually necessary? What is her prognosis. She is otherwise healthy. Are there any "healthy alternatives" to Chemotherapy and or radiation? If so, please list. Extreme measures are not in "Beths" future. Thank you!
