Head Injury and OCD

Sent to Dog Experts August 25 11:06 PM

My 6 month old Briard had x-rays today so he was mildly sedated. When we got home he chased my golden retrievers around the yard as usual; he ran straight into a tree mistaking the tree for the golden. He cried and screamed something awful. I brought him in and put ice on his head. Should I do anything else? Will there be permanent injury? Also, I took him in because he's been limping on his right hind leg. The vet took x-rays and says it could be pano or it could be OCD in the hock area. What can I expect for either of these? She sent the x-rays to an orthopedic vet in Spokane. Can a dog like this be used for obedience or running at a later time or will he have to take it easy for the rest of his life?
