PANNUS is an auto-immune condition of the eye that is treated with steroid drops or cyclosporine drops. From what I can recall from vet school, the dog should also be kept out of bright sunlight. This is a chronic disease requiring ongoing management. As a breed, German Shepherds are genetically prone. Has your vet diagnosed this?

Hope this helps,

Reply to HonestVet's Post: He doesn't have pannus, he has panno which is pain in the leg bone which causes him to limp.
